2.5 weeks in poland...that's exactly what you need to get a good sense of the country...
we started in val's hometown...
and spent about 5 days there, meeting (reuniting with) family
and enjoying beautiful northeastern poland.
this is the house he was (literally) born in...
our only regret is that we weren't able to get in there.
while in that part of poland, we spent a day visiting gdansk and malbork castle where my photographic theme was "beautiful doorways".
i must have 50 pictures of beautiful doors!
my sleep head is still kind of on europe time...more pics later....

Welcome home! The trip must have been so much fun. Can't wait to see more photos. How cool for Val to be able to show Evan and Maia (and you of course!) the house where he was born.
This will take many days, having tea with each other, to catch up on!
xoxoxo
p.s. Did you throw the big party?
we DID actually...it was QUITE the event...featuring dinner, salads and sausage products, MANY bottles of vodka and rounded out with a giant leg of smoked wild boar at the end which was presented on a rolling table with sparkler sticking out of it!

Cool!
Hey, any thoughts on taking a workshop from Celie in the fall?
actually, YES!!!! is the wedding in early sept? so mabe a couple weeks after that?
OMG! The polymer bracelet workshop? That's the one I'm interested in.
The wedding is Sept. 10. WAY before the mokume polymer bracelets Sept. 24-27. Would that be the one you are interested in?
of COURSE that's the one i'm interested in! shall i email to ask if there's 2 spots available?
xo
also, i believe sept 10 was my parents' anniversary (it might have been the 11th)
Sure! I don't know how I'll pay for it, but I will find a way. (Maybe even sell some stuff this summer!)
I would love it if you would e-mail Celie to see if there are 2 spots. My fingers are crossed. I won't e-mail until you find out. So it doesn't get confusing.
xoxo Yippeee!
