bracelet bizzaro

i don't think i will be a bangle maker in my next life....or just maybe not a carved bangle maker.
this is my first (quite possibly ONLY) try re-making the godawful carved bracelet i made at celie's. i used a linoleum cutter rather than the dockyard micro cutters...the size of the carving is better, but you can barely see that the core is a different color (my green layer should have been MUCH thinner).

the next step, i think, is to inlay a new color in the carvings...photos to follow...

The core sure looks like a different color to me! I find your bracelets inspiring. I can't wait to try making some bangles this winter. I like the linoleum cutter marks. Wonder how they would look combined with cuts from the Dockyard tool?
The top layer of the bangle is polymer, yes? It looks too even to be acrylic.

top layer is polymer...started the process of inlaying new color and realized the frost/transparent combo i chose is too cool for the yellowy of the bangle...will probably bake it and carve part of it away and add a 3rd color....i talk big about no more bangles, but i couldn't sleep last night thinking about a thin, carved bittersweet chocolate bangle! i think the scale of the linoleum cutter is more appropriate for the thicker bangle...but a combo of lino and dockyard could be great...
