rode the metro
had our first (but definitely not last) batch of crabs...
checked out the washington monument...
the capitol...
the zoo... and the white house, too.
we did let evan skate anywhere there were no signs forbidding it (that we could see) with the understanding that if anyone asked him to cease and desist, he would. he developed a pretty good fan base jumping steps at the lincoln memorial...
and out of 4 days of a couple hundred pictures (many of which had weird facial expressions and/or were out of focus) this is my favorite photo...
isn't it beautiful? val took it of the WWII memorial....

This looks like it was a fun trip! Are those soft shell crabs? I've never tried them, but I bet they're delicious.
I love the image of Evan skateboarding at the Lincoln Memorial. And Val's photo of the WWII Memorial. What a pretty time to be in Washington.
