surveying the damage

finally, today, the front lawn was entirely revealed (with the exception of one small patch of snow).
damage caused by feet and feet of snow seems to be minimal, but those darn deer...

my holly, and my newly-planted-this-fall hydrangea....grrrr!

and then there's this mystery...

what causes the rhodys to die from the top?! these are really big, well-established bushes that look like they may need to be removed-ugh!

but then there was this lovely sign of spring under there....daffodils poking through!
