anyone who knows me knows that i am AT BEST a mediocre, uninspired cook. (at worst, really bad).
some days it just seems that if i have some time, i should get some food cooked.
this is a record of my afternoon yesterday...from right to left-steamed brussel sprouts about to be sauteed in butter and garlic, the beginning of chicken soup, a cherry pie and an onion/pepper/tomato mix to bake with haddock. productive, if not culinary masterpieces.

Oh my goodness! I just saw this post... IS THAT THE CHICKEN SOUP THAT I HAD!?!?
Because that was, no joke, the BEST chicken soup I have ever tasted! So good that I even ate some cold.
