interesting potential

colored pencil on metal clay. primacolor poppy red, tuscan red, indigo and dark brown.

but with the tiniest bit of pressure, it just wiped away.

i wonder if that always happens, and it just needs to be sealed....

I was talking with Michela Verani about using colored pencils. She said to apply denatured alcohol or acetone to "melt" the pencil into the pores of the clay. I have not tried it myself, but would like to.

hmmmmm.....i guess i'll fire the stinker and try again! i thought using the pencil on it while it was white would force the color into the pores(guess not!)....thanks, wendy!

I haven't tried anything with colored pencils yet. I was wondering about sealing the color with Renaissance Wax.
The packing list for Vermont just got longer!
