on the bench

late last night (12a.m.ish-that is late for a 5 a.m. riser!) i started work on some polymer sketches of stylized dandelions (say "don-de-LEE-own" in your head - that's how my imagination pronounces it!). usually i sketch on paper, with pencil, but sometimes i sketch directly with polymer and then RECORD those sketches in my sketchbook in pencil, afterward.
having to leave these sketches on my bench to go to work is so hard....makes me excited to go home, though! hmmmm.....i'm wondering if i have enough metal clay (pmc) in the house.....

Love the don-de-LEE-on designs! Very fun. However do you make such perfect bezels for your stones? As one who rarely sketches with a pencil, I am really happy to read that you sketch sometimes with polymer clay!

those are circles (donut shapes) cut out with straws, then i sand with a cone shaped grinder tip from my dremel tool and back-set the stone from the wide side of the opening.... i think of you as someone who sketches with their camera, which i'd like to do more of......
