squared, x4
i made 4 squares, with little wonky circles in them, imagining that they were just the FIRST 4 of some big, gigantic pendant. i started arranging and re-arranging, using the 4 squares i had with more paper squares as place-markers. three of the squares (the same 3) kept stacking themselves vertically, although my specific intention was to NOT grid the squares...i wanted them twisted and misaligned. i wanted the geometry to be subverted into an organic form. well, it turns out that though i had intended for the square to be the subject, those little wonky circles ended up being the subject, especially when those 3 particular squares were stacked. they insisted on staying together.
then i had a leftover square and remembered that i'm still working on the color challenge. so, i filled the recesses with polymer clay inspired by the colors of my labradorite beads. i know, it's not that colorful! but it does make a cute little necklace...

Wow, Holly. I love how both of these look. The pearls worked out so well and I love the simplicity and color of the single square just as much Very cool!

thanks, my friend! when are we getting our plane tickets?
I was thinking about tonight. Doesn't Bruce owe you some $$ for speedy delivery postage?
I'll check Southwest flights and get back to you.
