glass

a few weeks ago, a giant windstorm came whipping through in the middle of the night. i heard a loud crash, opened my eyes very briefly, and went back to sleep. well, this is what greeted me in the morning....the wind knocked over our glass-topped table. no more glass top.(please excuse incorrect white balance...still learning that camera!)

while i was cleaning the glass up, i noticed that it was kind of, well, beautiful. the way it shattered in that grid formation...and when it completely fell apart it was in shiny little cubes or long 4-sided sticks...i imagine i could use that, somehow....i like thinking about that kind of "safety" glass, too....it's still very sharp, just not shaped in daggers....

oh, i love that table. many's the time i've cleaned that glass top off in preparation for a feast at your house. i can't even picture what the table underneath is like. and yes, the broken glass is purty.

p.s. how'd that spammer get past your word verification, anyway?

Oh no! Cleaning that woven top might be difficult. I wonder if you can buy a new glass top.
