wool season approaches

tomorrow, i feel, is the last day of jewelry season.
my saul bell entry will be complete (after i string it for the 4th dang time) and much of my work will be packed up to be sent off to an exhibit at baltimore clayworks.
and there's a chill in the air.

i made these scarves in june (NOT wool season) and immediately lost interest in them because it was hot out. the blue-green one is not actually done....it's a pile of partially felted merino (or possibly blue-faced leister) and the pinkish one has "hollyberry" fibers felted to a hand-painted silk scarf.

for those of you who like to look at jewelry here...don't worry. while i'm currently working on a "putty" sweater and a couple of cute baby items, i feel a bout of earring-making-for-the-holidays coming on before too long!

WaaHoo! I want to learn how to felt like this! These scarves are great. I've been thinking about you a lot with your busy busy weekend. That final moment before deciding..."That's it. That's my design!" Good luck!
