continued problems

well, they don't have scare-do hair-dos this time.
but clearly, there's still a problem.
i believe my friend barb fernald demonstrated much genius when she asked me the question "how big is your container?" i look back at everything i've fired in the last couple of weeks and i see a crack in essentially the same spot on nearly every piece. and that would be a spot very close to the top of the carbon pile. logic says it's time for me to stop using the stainless steel herb container and invest in a BIG pan to do my firing in.
a saul bell submission seems unattainable for me this year....
