you might remember an earlier post about taking a spinning class....well, here's the hat (thorpe, from ravelry) that i made out of that yarn i spun. that bit of orange is a chunky cashmere i had...i can't stand itchy on my forehead...also, 4 oz. of wool doesn't go very far when you're a first-time spinner...

i guess by "spinning class" you don't mean riding a stationary bicycle at a gym with a bunch of people in spandex, huh?
that hat is gorgeous. ellen gave me some pretty yarn and a book about how to read knitting patterns for christmas, and i wish you lived next door so you could help me get started...
