so much about working with pmc still feels a bit like a crap shoot to me....
so, i made these rings with the RING MAKER that the nice demonstration guy at the conference made look so easy. he said that a band made with the ring maker would fit sizes 7.5-9, after fired. so, i put my 3 rings in the kiln with their appropriately sized plaster plugs (9, 8.5, and 7.5) and opened up the kiln and - voila! the 9 shrunk down to an 8, the 8.5 is actually about an 8.5 and the 7.5 is about an 8! so, at 6 am i quietly hammered the 9 so i could wear it today, and i do believe i will re-fire the 7.5 to see if i can get it to shrink some more...
that ring on the left...it's mine...should i fill the circles with sculpy in browns/reds/oranges or use liver of sulpher for random color inside?
