o, malabrigo, how i love you....

i enter my local yarn shop with my eyes averted from the far wall, because that's where i know they keep the malabrigo. i spend a lot of time looking at the yarn at the near wall, hoping to find something i love there. i try not to even go in the vicinity of the piles of beautiful malabrigo. looking for something sensible and worsted weight to make a sweater with, i got too close, and i was drawn in.....and this darn skein jumped into my arms. c'mon, it's orange, green and purple...and MUTED....it doesn't get any better than that! i could only afford 1 skein, so this had better make a reasonable sized scarf!

I think you need to ask Santa to bring you more of this yarn. It's gorgeous! You definitely deserve a whole sweater of these beautiful colors.

it IS gorgeous yarn, but totally inappropriate for a sweater....too heavy and spun loosely so it PILLS something awful! perfect scarf...i finished it (too short) ripped the whole thing out, cast on fewer stitches and reknit the whole thing in a couple hours...love that fat yarn!
