i spent much of my alone-time yesterday morning taking photos of the recent jewelry. i'm vaguely interested in submitting rings for
hattie sanderson's new ring book, so i was taking some pictures of some of my older rings.
i realized several things in the process...
the artist marking i'm doing now is a grand improvement over scratching my initials into the surface with a pin tool.

pieces with resin in them should be washed and rubbed up a bit with a t-shirt before photographing.

and, there's a reason i don't often make metal clay rings to sell to others.

fine silver is just too darn soft. it's ok for me-i know to expect that it will turn to an oval shape and get all dinged up. but i suspect a customer would not think to highly of those issues....
