the sad state of the studio

pmc veneer sheets, just waiting to be made into SOMETHING.

projects not finished.
yes, i am now the proud owner of diamond drill bits.
no, i haven't figured out how to secure those drill bits into the old, rusty drill press in the garage.

and dust. lots of compound dust that blew up through the heating system from the basement we're sheetrocking.

the only perfect thing in the studio...

my own little christmas-card-making elf.

Veneer sheets? How'd you do that? Glycerine? Your studio looks pretty clean to me! At least in the close up! Merry Christmas!

hmmm...some product i bought a couple years ago...jay humphries (?) makes it. probably glycerine. it makes the clay liquidy and then you let it dry in a mold and get a flexible texture sheet. i haven't had a lot of success with it.....
merry xmas to you!!

p.s. i saw you were interviewed for fusion about social networking...you always sound so smart!!!!

It's all a ruse! A good editor always makes you sound smarter! It was an e-mail interview (my favorite kind) that I think came from my Maine connection with Tim and Bob Keyes. I didn't get my copy of Fusion yet, so I looked it up on the Guild website. I wish he had found a way to leave in the part where I mention YOU, by name, and how regularly we check each other's blogs, and how it makes me feel a lot closer when I can't just walk next door and see you in your studio!

y'know he probably thought that was kind of irrelevant, but for me, that's the most important part...the being inspired by what other artists are doing and actually asking questions and keeping in touch...those articles about using social networking are usually more about business than creative process.
